Opportunity
The Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MIPS) is seeking a Level A Research Fellow to join the Drug Discovery Biology theme and contribute to innovative research in neurological therapeutic development.
In this research-only role, you will grow your research expertise while supporting a major, long-standing partnership between MIPS and the French pharmaceutical company Servier, focused on discovering new treatments for neurological disorders.
As a key member of the MTDD team, you will undertake a range of activities, including:
* Developing ex vivo neuronal and stem cell biology models
* Testing and evaluating new therapeutics in support of a drug discovery program
* Delivering high-quality, timely data to the MTDD‑Servier joint project team
* Supporting project milestone progression and collaborating with stakeholders across MIPS, Monash University, and Servier
The appointee will have:
* A doctoral qualification in stem cell biology, with experience in neurobiology or a closely related field
