The Role
This is a hands-on position where you will be responsible for ensuring our facility's readiness for the next production season through thorough maintenance and upkeep.
Your Responsibilities:
* Perform yearly facility shutdowns including comprehensive cleaning and sanitation of all equipment and work areas.
* Conduct routine maintenance and repairs utilising a mechanically-minded approach to keep our systems running efficiently.
* Set up the facility for the next production season, ensuring all equipment is operational and ready for new stock.
* Accurately document maintenance and setup activities.
* Implement and maintain robust biosecurity measures including disinfection protocols.
* (Potential Future Duties) Assist with animal husbandry tasks such as feeding routines, health checks, and water quality testing as the role evolves.
Role Requirements
* A practical and methodical attitude with a strong focus on cleaning, sanitation, and facility maintenance.
* Mechanically-minded with an aptitude for basic repairs and problem-solving.
* Aquaculture or agriculture experience is highly desirable but not essential.
* This is a physically demanding role.
* Successful applicants will need to pass a health and fitness test prior to commencing.
* Attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks.
* A team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt.
