**Your role**
The Deputy Secretary, Corporate Services role provides executive leadership and strategic direction to a diverse portfolio of corporate services, professional advisory and enabling functions to support achievement of DCJ's objectives and outcomes. The role provides direct advice and support to the Secretary on whole of Department and whole-of-portfolio issues, playing a crucial role in achieving DCJ's objective and ensuring alignment of service and operational delivery standards.
**What you'll do**
As the Deputy Secretary Corporate Services, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of corporate services functions and driving strategic initiative that enhances operational efficiency and effectiveness within DCJ and Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) along with;
- Lead DCJ in governance and compliance activities, including audit and risk; corporate planning and portfolio reporting, and provide advice on governance across the Portfolio.
- Drive effective financial management to optimise the return on government's financial, human, intellectual and physical investments in regulatory compliance and enforcement activity.
- Drive large scale continuous improvement that achieves demonstrable benefits from organisation-wide innovation and initiatives to effectively manage the budget review process whilst minimising any impact on service continuity and standards.
- Driving the visioning, development and implementation of strategic workforce and resourcing plans which enable sustained long term corporate capability and performance against plan.
- Drive the adoption of performance, outcomes, structures to achieve cost effective service delivery models for corporate service functions.
- Lead and drive initiatives to evaluate, analyse and improve delivery and organisational performance across DCJ.
- Support and provide advice to the Secretary on whole of Department and whole-of-portfolio issues.
- Represent the Department in whole-of-government committees and working groups, as well as in consultations and negotiations with key external stakeholders

**What we're looking for**
- Tertiary qualification/s in a relevant discipline and/or demonstrated experience at an executive level in a large complex organisation
- Demonstrated extensive experience at a senior executive level in a large complex organisation
- Capacity to lead staff in driving and implementing Department and portfolio-wide policies and achieving results against strategic objectives
