About the role
With new investment strengthening our service, we are excited to recruit for a newly created role, offering the opportunity to join an established team committed to making a meaningful impact.
We are seeking an experienced and values-driven Coordinator, Homelessness Service Women and Families, Adult Women to provide program coordination, operational leadership and day-to-day support to a frontline service delivering support to adult women, including those experiencing homelessness, domestic and family violence, mental health challenges and other complex life circumstances.
This role plays a critical leadership function in ensuring the delivery of safe, trauma-informed, recovery-oriented and client-centred services that respond to the unique needs and experiences of adult women. Working closely with the Service Manager, the Coordinator supports team members through effective leadership, complex case guidance, operational oversight and continuous improvement.
The Coordinator, Adult Women will foster a culturally safe, inclusive and empowering service environment that supports women to build stability, safety and independence.
This position is permanent, full-time and based at our Toowong service, with on-call responsibilities as part of the role.
Responsibilities
* Provide day-to-day operational leadership and coordination to an Adult Women's service team
* Support team members with complex cases, including safety planning, risk assessment and case planning for women with multiple and intersecting needs
* Conduct regular file audits to ensure quality assurance, best practice and continuous development
* Provide proactive peer support, coaching and mentoring to staff
* Oversee and support client intake, assessments and reviews
* Monitor service delivery against contractual, legislative and funding requirementslc
* Lead by example by modelling values-aligned, trauma-informed, gender-responsive and collaborative practice
* Build participative and consultative systems that empower staff and strengthen team cohesion
* Support recruitment, onboarding, orientation and ongoing development of staff and volunteers
* Ensure caseloads are appropriate and support continuity of service delivery through case backfilling where required
* Maintain contemporary knowledge of issues impacting adult women, including homelessness, DFV, mental health, substance use and housing insecurity
* Ensure service delivery aligns with trauma-informed, recovery-oriented and gender-responsive frameworks
* Provide feedback to the Service Manager on service delivery effectiveness and emerging client needs
* Liaise and collaborate with external agencies including housing, health, DFV, legal and community services
* Support integrated, innovative and culturally responsive service models
* Participate in an on-call roster to ensure client and service needs are met
* Represent Anglicare at relevant networks, forums and community meetings
* Oversee the maintenance and integrity of service databases and client records
* Ensure accurate, timely and confidential documentation of client and service information
* Comply with incident, risk and complaints reporting processes
* Collate and report on client outcomes, service data and feedback
* Complete additional administrative tasks as required
* Contribute to the development and implementation of systems, processes, policies and procedures
* Identify opportunities for service improvement and innovation in Adult Women's programs
* Promote reflective practice, learning and professional development within the team
* Support staff to identify training needs and capability development
* Work collaboratively across teams and disciplines to share knowledge and best practice
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
* Demonstrated experience in management, case management and support services for adult women
* Experience working within homelessness, domestic and family violence, mental health and/or complex needs services
* Strong understanding and practical application of trauma-informed, recovery-oriented and gender-responsive practice
* Proven leadership capability, including day-to-day operational supervision and team support
* Ability to proactively manage human, technical and financial resources
* Experience developing and implementing tools and processes to support service delivery
* Understanding of change management principles
* Well-developed written and verbal communication, negotiation and influencing skills
* Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capability
* A collaborative, solutions-focused and self-managing approach
* Competency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems
Qualifications and Requirements
* Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Management or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
* Current National Police Check
* Current Blue Card
* Current Queensland Driver Licence and access to a reliable vehicle
