The business focuses on quality‐led projects typically ranging upto $300k, with the majority of work involving water ingress remediation, remedial concrete repairs, window/door replacement, and exterior façade works for body corporate clients.

Now they are seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team due to strong and sustained growth.
The Role
This role presents an opportunity to make an immediate impact by increasing throughput while maintaining high standards of technical accuracy, commercial judgment, and client trust. The position is hands‐on and site‐focused, ideally suited to an estimator who is comfortable engaging directly with clients, assessing defects on site, and leading the estimating process from inspection through to tender submission.

The Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the full tendering process from initial enquiry through to submission, ensuring pricing strategies align with business objectives and market conditions.
* Produce complete, accurate, and commercially sound estimates using first‐principles costing.
* Critically review drawings, specifications, defect reports, and site information to fully understand scope, constructability, and risk.
* Identify, assess, and price project risks, including access constraints, safety considerations, staging requirements, and latent conditions.
* Develop and define construction methodologies that optimise cost, programme, safety, and quality outcomes.
* Source, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier pricing, ensuring best value and robust commercial terms.
* Lead value engineering initiatives to improve project outcomes while maintaining compliance and performance requirements.
* Manage tender communications, including RFIs, clarifications, and tender presentations with clients and consultants.
* Review, validate, and sign off estimates prepared by junior estimators, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
* Coordinate and deliver detailed handovers to project delivery teams, clearly documenting assumptions, inclusions, exclusions, risks, and margins.
* Undertake post‐tender and post‐project reviews to analyse outcomes and drive continuous improvement in estimating accuracy and processes.
* Ensure all estimates comply with relevant Australian Standards, NCC/BCA requirements, and safety obligations.
* Maintain and refine cost databases, benchmarks, and pricing models to reflect current market conditions.
* Provide mentoring and guidance to junior estimating staff, supporting capability development within the team.
* Exercise strong commercial judgment when assessing bid viability, margin strategy, and go/no‐go decisions.
The Requirements
* Proven experience estimating remedial construction or similar defect‐driven building works
* Strong understanding of water ingress, concrete repair, and façade‐related issues
* Confidence attending site inspections and discussing technical issues with clients
* Excellent attention to detail and a methodical, quality‐focused mindset
* High integrity and professionalism in all client and internal interactions
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to present and justify estimates
* Solid Microsoft Excel skills and comfort working with estimating spreadsheets
* The ability to work independently while contributing to team culture
