**Consultant - Risk Transformation, Canberra**
**The opportunity**
You will support clients in understanding and managing their business risks, while ensuring the integrity of critical information. You'll deliver independent risk and project assurance insights to help drive strategic outcomes, advise on best practices in project and program management, and provide valuable input to inform decision-making. Your work will contribute to the successful delivery of large-scale, purpose-driven initiatives.
This role is based in Canberra - Ngambri. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.
**Your key responsibilities**
- Support the delivery of internal audit engagements by contributing to the development of audit plans, assessing internal controls, and addressing compliance, financial, operational, and strategic risks aligned with professional standards.
- Advise clients on understanding and managing business risks, validating critical business information, and staying informed on emerging trends to provide relevant, forward-thinking assurance insights.
- Build strong client relationships by meeting service expectations and contributing positively to team discussions with energy, fresh ideas, and a collaborative mindset.
**Skills and attributes for success**
We're looking for a motivated Consultant with experience in risk transformation to support the delivery of a large, multi-year program of work. In this role, you'll contribute to the day-to-day execution of individual assurance reviews across a range of program and project-specific topics.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, project management, accounting, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CA, CIA, PRINCE2, P3M3, or other project assurance, governance, or risk-related accreditations are highly regarded.
- Prior experience in risk management, internal audit, risk transformation, policy review, or program/project management, along with a good understanding of project methodologies and best practices.
- Strong report writing skills and the ability to clearly communicate findings and recommendations. Flexibility to travel may be required to meet client needs.

- A passion for emerging technologies and working within a team to advise clients on how to manage IT risks and accelerate performance.
