Required
Experienced Social Worker required for this NT service. This is a remote 60-bed hospital. The service requires high-level skills as a sole Social Worker and demonstrated cultural competence working respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations. There is a high incidence of domestic and family violence, child neglect and abuse reporting, and statutory child removal, as well as services across:
* Sexual violence
* ED presentations
* Crisis response (adults and paediatrics)
* Guardianship
* Advocacy
* NDIS applications
* Inpatients only ED, acute wards, general medical, surgical, palliative care, rehabilitation, maternity, and paediatrics
You must have strong crisis response experience and work with victims of domestic and sexual violence.
Join a team of clinicians including Directors, Team Leaders, SWs, DTs, OTs, PTs, SPs, AHAs, ALOs, and Admin staff.
15th September start for 6-8 weeks with a possible extension.
You Must Have Relevant Experience
This role requires you to be eligible for AASW membership. Overseas trained Social Workers should have their qualifications assessed by the AASW before applying.
Experience Required
* Experience providing social work services within a hospital setting (Emergency Department), including crisis intervention and short-term support
* Strong knowledge and experience in domestic and family violence risk assessment, safety planning, and support services
* Experience working with child protection concerns, including mandatory reporting and liaising with relevant agencies
* Willingness to work extended hours, including weekends, after-hours shifts, on-call, and 1pm-10pm shifts
