About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Bookkeeper / Administration Assistant to join our team at KBK Accounting in Wonthaggi, Victoria. This is a casual position that offers flexibile 15 hours per week with the ability for more for the right candidate. You will be responsible for providing high-quality bookkeeping and administrative support to our small business clients.
What you'll be doing
* Maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers for our clients using Quickbooks, Xero and MYOB
* Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual BAS, IAS and financial statements
* Reconciling bank and credit card statements
* Providing general administrative support, including answering phone calls and managing client enquiries
* Assisting with tax preparation and compliance tasks as needed
* Liasing with the Australain Taxation Office
What we're looking for
* 1-2 years of experience in a bookkeeping or administrative role, preferably within an accounting or small business environment
* Strong financial management and accounting skills, including proficiency in using accounting software like Quickbooks, MYOB and/or Xero
* Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients
* Familiarity with tax preparation and compliance requirements for small businesses
* An organised, trustworthy individual with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
