We are seeking a talented and motivated IT Support Technician to join our team. You will play a crucial role in providing technical support and assistance to our clients using our digital signage messaging software. You will work closely with our clients (community clubs) to troubleshoot technical issues, provide installation assistance, configure software and hardware settings as required, and ensure smooth operation of our digital signage software. You will also play a critical role in further developing our software, so a good understanding of Australian community club culture will greatly assist your understanding of our goals. Some facets of administering our internal office network and PCs will also be undertaken.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical support and assistance to clients via phone, email, and remote desktop support tools.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software & networking issues related to our digital signage software.
Assist clients and/or technicians with installation, configuration, and setup of digital signage hardware and software.
Build, troubleshoot & repair PC hardware.
Collaborate with internal teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and technical support logs.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and provide feedback to the development team.
Maintain, configure & repair our internal office network and PCs, as required.
Requirements:
Proven experience in technical support and customer service roles is essential, preferably in the digital signage industry.
WiFi networking, configuration of WiFi access points and diagnosis of network connectivity issues.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent and clear communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to create easy-to-follow troubleshooting documentation.
Familiarity with building, troubleshooting & repairing PC hardware.
Familiarity with digital signage hardware and software, digital RF modulators and video signal distribution is preferred.
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members/other departments.
Required to work on-site at our South Plympton office, a minimum of 3 days per week, and further training will be provided to the successful applicant.
