A well-established organisation within the manufacturing and industrial sector is seeking a junior management accountant to join its VIC/TAS finance team. Operating at scale with a strong operational footprint, the business offers a collaborative environment, exposure to end-to-end accounting, and the opportunity to grow alongside experienced finance leaders.
The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role will support both management and financial accounting activities across the VIC and TAS operations. You'll play a hands-on role in month-end processes, reporting, forecasting and supporting the wider business with financial insights.
Responsibilities
* Assist with monthly, half-year and year-end financial reporting
* Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across VIC and TAS sites
* Partner with operational and cite managers to support financial decision-making
* Perform general ledger reconciliations (accruals, prepayments, provisions, consumables)
* Reconcile stock accounts as part of the month-end process
* Participate in monthly and quarterly stocktakes
* Assist with annual budgeting for VIC and TAS divisions
* Prepare ad-hoc reports and respond to business queries as required
The Candidate
* 1-2 years' experience in a similar accounting role
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
* CA/CPA qualified or near completion
* Strong Excel skills and high attention to detail
* Excellent time management with the ability to juggle competing priorities
* Exposure to a manufacturing or operational environment highly regarded
* ERP experience (e.g. Oracle) advantageous but not essential
* A proactive, positive attitude with a strong work ethic
