As a Controls Support Engineer, you will be at the heart of Vanderlande's cutting‑edge automated facility in Moorebank, Sydney, ensuring our world‑class logistics systems run smoothly for our customers.
This is more than just fixing issues – you're the frontline expert, diving deep into root cause analysis to prevent future disruptions. You'll be the go‑to specialist for high‑level software challenges, collaborating with global service desks, the Melbourne team, and on‑site service teams to keep operations running seamlessly, 24/7.
Main Responsibilities
* Incident management for Vanderlande-designed material handling solutions
* Own the system – Quickly resolve high-level software issues and keep things moving2.
* Think beyond the fix – Perform root cause analysis and look for long‑term solutions.
* Be the expert – Log and process customer requests in our ITSM system.
* Be flexible – Work Monday to Friday between 0600 – 2200 onsite, with weekend on‑call rotations
Job Requirements
* Education at bachelor's (or higher) level, technical or IT subjectmatter
* Ideally experienced in software development of automated logistics systems.
* A technical mindset (automation experience is a plus, but we'll train you)
* Strong experience in control technology.
* Preferred IT background, data analysis, Splunk, Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana), and ACP solutions
* Good knowledge of Oracle PL / SQL, C++, C #, and Java
* Excellent English language skills
* Eager to learn and motivated by achievements
* Preferably experienced in working for an international company
* Willing to travel internationally up to 30%
* Prepared to participate in a weekend standby rotation
* Hold full working rights to work in Australia (Permanent residency or citizenship).
