The role of a Policy and Program Officer is pivotal in underpinning market access and export certification for meat and meat products exported from Australia.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Conducting thorough research and analysis to inform policy development
- Preparing and reviewing reports, policies, instructional materials, and stakeholder meeting papers
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, including animal producers, processors, and industry bodies
- Developing communication products for internal and external stakeholders
**Requirements**
The successful applicant must possess experience in project management and implementing operational program changes. Experience in export policy, legislation, or agricultural industry is desirable but not mandatory.
**Eligibility**
The successful applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical examination, including Q-Fever tests, and obtain Q-Fever immunisation where immunity cannot be established.
