About the Role:


Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner

This is a rewarding career opportunity to work with NDIS participants across various settings.

1. Establish strong relationships with individuals and stakeholders, ensuring comprehensive support and understanding of their needs.
2. Conduct thorough Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBAs) to identify underlying causes of challenging behaviours.
3. Develop and implement effective Behaviour Support Plans that address individual goals and promote positive outcomes.
4. Educate and train carers and support teams on best practices in behaviour support.
5. Rigorously review and reduce restrictive practices in line with NDIS guidelines, prioritising participant well-being.


Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. A relevant bachelor's degree, such as Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or a related field.
2. Endorsement as 'Proficient' or above against the PBS Capability Framework, supported by evidence from the NDIS Commission.
3. Australian working rights.
4. Prior experience in community, private, or acute settings.
5. A current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
6. NDIS Workers Check and Working with Children Check clearance.
