Position Overview:
Are you sick of the commute, time sheets, and the old style of working in an old-school accounting firm? Work close to home in Picton Bargo and Oran Parlk! We are seeking experienced and dedicated Senior Accountants/Managers to join our team. Various positions are open within our practice, and your tasks will vary depending on your level of experience. A bonus and annual staff getaway are available should KPIs be achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review management accounts and financial statements
- Prepare Activity Statements and tax returns for different structures
- Prepare clear and concise work papers as evidence of work performed
- Apply solid taxation knowledge in various complex topics such as Div 7A & UPE, GST on going concern sale, and trust distribution to non-residents
- Monitor lodgement programs to ensure ATO lodgement dates are met for income tax, activity statements, STP, TPAR, etc.
- Liaise with ASIC, ATO, and clients, answering queries as required
- Utilize Xero Practice Manager (preferred)
- Process individual tax returns together with company, partnership, and trust returns
- Run the site in Picton Oran Park Bargo and be the main point of contact
About You:
- Experience in taxation, having worked in a public practice firm with a good understanding of taxation laws and accounting standards
- A Qualified CA or CPA accountant (or working towards)
- Proficiency in utilising Xero, QuickBooks, and MYOB
- Motivated individual with a positive attitude, professional demeanor, and excellent customer service skills
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate complex tax matters in a practical way
