Qualifications
The successful applicant will have:
* Valid Driving License
* Pipefitting experience required
* Able to pass weld test. Weld Qualification Required – MMAW/FCAW test in 6G position on carbon steel pipe
* South 32 Worsley Refinery Experience (advantageous but not essential)
* Working at Heights (within 2 years)
* Confined Space (within 2 years)
* Construction Induction Card (White or Blue card)
* Rigging and Forklift tickets would be beneficial
* Ability to pass a pre-employment and site medical testing
Key Responsibilities include:
* Weld components and piping in accordance with approved welding procedure.
* Using specialised welding processes (FCAW, GTAW/TIG, MIG/MMAW) and fit-up techniques
* Perform welds in multiple positions (e.g., 6G) and document weld records.
* Prepare materials and joint fit-up prior to welding (grinding, cleaning, pre-heating).
* Carry out structural and pressure-rated welding tasks on piping, tanks, vessels, and support structures.
* Assist with both planned preventative maintenance and corrective welding tasks during normal operations or shutdown periods
* Support turnaround or shutdown activities by performing high-quality, code-compliant welding under schedule pressure.
* Maintain documentation and records of welding activities for audits and compliance
