Overview
The RoleHall Contracting is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join a Backhoe Dredging project in Dampier, Western Australia, commencing February/March 2026 and running through to late 2026. Swap the dusty mine site for blue water and ocean views in the Pilbara. This is a FIFO position operating on a 20:10 roster. The opportunity includes flights, accommodation and site transfers, with LAFHA provided. Candidates must be currently based and living in Australia. Proven experience in mining, oil and gas, or marine construction is essential.

Key Responsibilities
* Reporting to the Project Manager and General Manager, your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting the project team to ensure works are delivered on time, within budget, and to scope
* Coordinating with crew, management, clients, and consultants to support smooth project delivery
* Assisting in the implementation and monitoring of Safety and Environmental Policies
* Supporting project financial tracking, reporting, and identifying issues or opportunities
* Mentoring junior engineers and site personnel to uphold high standards of quality and safety
* Ensuring all work complies with project quality assurance requirements
About You
* Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related field (essential)
* Demonstrated experience as a Project Engineer or similar role on marine or civil construction projects
* Knowledge of marine construction processes, safety, and quality standards
* Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
* Willingness to travel to sites across Australia on a 20:10 roster
* Ability to support and coordinate project teams to achieve successful outcomes
* Familiarity with project documentation, reporting, and engineering software/tools
