Position Details
Social Worker – Part‐time, Temporary (up to 0.6 FTE)
Responsibilities
* Partner with students, families and key staff to enhance student well‐being.
* Create and design well‐being presentations to support and upskill the school community.
* Adhere to policy and procedure in the delivery of student support services.
* Prioritise and advocate for the well‐being of students; promote a culture of child safety and consistently apply the CEWA Childsafe Framework.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and facilitate preventative programmes and expand relations with internal and external organisations to support delivery.
* Communicate proactively with stakeholders to strengthen individual and collective student well‐being programmes and contribute in relevant meetings.
* Deliver best‐practice intervention, including individual and collective counselling methodologies.
Qualifications Required
* Relevant Social Worker qualification eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (e.g., accredited Bachelor of Social Work or Master of Social Work with a minimum of 1000 hours of supervised field education).
* Accreditation to work in a Catholic school (or willingness to attain).
* Working With Children Check.
* Current National Police History Check issued by the Department of Education Western Australia.
