About you
To be considered for the role, you must be able to demonstrate:
1. Significant experience and proven track record working in a senior role providing strategic, policy and operational leadership in a complex and sensitive environment, and able to translate organisational strategy into meaningful objectives and long-term implementable plans to achieve digital resilience.
2. Ability to identify, interpret and communicate risks, issues and opportunities relating to cyber security, data protection and telecommunications infrastructure, and how these impact the business outcomes of individual departments and the government as a whole.
3. Ability to effectively lead and coordinate technical responses to major cyber security incidents impacting Victoria, and detailed working knowledge of state and federal incident management arrangements (such as the Cyber Incident Management Arrangements for Australian Governments).
4. A good understanding of risk and the ability to develop informed judgements about the balance of risk against other important elements such as service delivery, expenditure and risk impact.
5. Demonstrated effective people and change management skills, including experience building and maintaining highly-functioning, productive and engaged teams.
6. Knowledge of national and international laws, regulations, policies, and ethics as these relate to best practice cyber and data security.

7. The ability to acquire and maintain a NEGATIVE VETTING LEVEL 2 security clearance.
