Job Title: Junior Legal Counsel – Corporate
We are seeking a commercially minded legal professional to join our team in Chatswood. Reporting to the Head of Legal, this role is central to enabling business success while safeguarding our operations from legal and reputational risk.
* The ideal candidate will have strong understanding of indemnities, risk allocation, and contract management.
* They should also possess excellent communication skills and the ability to translate legal concepts into practical advice.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts to ensure clarity, compliance, and adequate risk allocation.
2. Managing high-value debt recovery actions and supporting litigation matters.
3. Advising on lease agreements and national account negotiations.
4. Partnering with internal stakeholders to deliver timely, commercially sound legal advice.
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualifications in Law and post-admission experience in commercial or corporate law.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex legal information.
