This role suits someone who knows their way around cattle, enjoys practical farm work, and is craving more than just a job — a lifestyle shift.
The Role
* Daily cattle work including mustering, calving, and herd health
* General farm maintenance (fencing, water systems, pastures)
* Operating machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
* Working collaboratively with a small team and family owners
About You
* Hands‑on cattle/farm experience (minimum 2 years preferred)
* Practical skills in fencing, machinery, and general upkeep
* Strong work ethic, reliability, and initiative
* Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
* Current Australian driver's licence (essential)
What We Offer
* Competitive salary ($65,000–$80,000 depending on experience)
* On‑farm accommodation provided
* A secure, long‑term role (minimum 2 years)
* A welcoming, close‑knit island community
* A lifestyle that blends meaningful cattle work with pristine beaches, fishing, and wide‑open spaces
Life on Flinders Island
Flinders Island sits in Bass Strait — just a short flight from Melbourne or Launceston, yet a world away. With fewer than 1,000 residents, life here is slower, richer, and deeply connected to land and sea. Think rugged coastlines, stunning beaches, strong community spirit, local events, and fresh local produce.
Bonus
Alongside Quoin Farm, our family also runs a small tourism business on the island, creating potential part‑time or seasonal work for partners in hospitality, guiding, or retail.
How to Apply
Application close end of January 2026.
