Primary objective
Supports and provides collaborative, appropriate, proficient, coordinated direct and indirect clinical care for complex client presentations, including working with and alongside less experienced nursing and midwifery staff, within the specialty area.

* Accountable for providing sound professional advice and for assessment, planning, review, evaluation and coordination of comprehensive client care and/or case management within the speciality area.

Selection criteria
Essential
* Current registration with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia or eligible for same.
* Demonstrated highly-developed clinical knowledge and skills in a relevant area of nursing/midwifery relating to this vacancy, supporting well developed clinical decision-making and problem solving to achieve best practice healthcare outcomes.
* Demonstrate and promote a learning environment through clinical support, instruction, and feedback including mentoring students, graduates and less experienced staff across the multidisciplinary team.
* Experience contributing to the development and implementation of local/regional policy, including interpreting established professional precedents and organisational policies and supporting change management.
* Demonstrated use of effective communication skills to influence and convince staff and/or clients, including on sensitive matters requiring tact and diplomacy
* Demonstrates well-developed knowledge and understanding of the social and cultural issues, influences and sensitivities that influence health care provision for clients and families.
Desirable
* Graduate Certificate beyond entry-to-practice relevant to specialty area.
