Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Building Surveyor (Level 1 or Level 2) to join our busy and high-performing Compliance team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a proactive professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to further develop their expertise across residential and/or commercial projects. You will play a key role in guiding project teams through the complexities of compliance while building strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide expert advice to internal and external stakeholders on NCC requirements, Australian Standards, and relevant regulations.
* Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, proactively managing expectations and delivering timely responses.
* Collaborate closely with architects, designers, and project engineers to achieve certification aligned with project timelines.
* Prepare high-quality technical reports and compliance documentation.
* Contribute positively to a team culture focused on accuracy, responsiveness, and continuous improvement.
About You
You are a driven professional who combines technical knowledge with excellent communication skills. You take pride in your attention to detail and your ability to deliver clear, practical compliance advice.
You will ideally have:
* Registration or qualification as a Level 1 or Level 2 Building Surveyor (LGIRS and/or AIBS preferred).
* A minimum of 1–2 years of construction industry experience is required.
* Strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* High computer literacy and advanced report writing capability.
* A collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
* Experience within the construction industry and familiarity with relevant regulations and standards.
* A genuine passion for residential and/or commercial building compliance and client service.
