About the role
The role of Administration Officer will provide intermediate level of administrative and secretarial support to the Acute Care Team at an entry point to the mental health service of West Moreton Hospital and Health Service (West Moreton HHS) ensuring efficiency and effectiveness at all times. The role will respond to enquiries and provide information and assistance to staff, consumers/carers and visitors to facilitate effective service delivery within a Mental Health setting.
About you
- Demonstrated success working calmly and proficiently within a call centre/high telephone-call traffic setting.
- Exceptional organisational and prioritisation skills including the ability to work autonomously in a self directed manner while contributing to patient flow.
- Knowledge of or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of basic medical terminology to extract and interpret pertinent information from consumer medical records and hospital information systems.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain discretion and exercise judgment where necessary within the scope of the role to solve immediate problems in situations where precedents have not been set and procedures not defined, ensuring a satisfactory outcome.
**Mandatory Requirements**:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
- Vaccinated against COVID-19 as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO.12/21and the Queensland Health Human Resources Policy B70.
