Join our progressive team as a Commercial & Property Lawyer at any of our locations – Toowong, Albany Creek, Gold Coast or Noosa.
The Opportunity
Our client requires an experienced Senior Senior Commercial & Property Solicitor to lead sophisticated transactional matters across all office locations. You will work closely with business owners and commercial clients across Queensland, operating with full autonomy. This strategic growth hire will shape the firm’s next expansion phase while delivering tangible commercial outcomes and building the commercial and property division.
Responsibilities
* Lead business sales and acquisitions, including due diligence, contract drafting and negotiations
* Manage commercial property transactions – acquisitions, disposals, put & call options, easements and special conditions
* Draft, review and negotiate commercial and retail leases, variations and associated agreements
* Draft, review and negotiate Off‑the‑Plan contracts, property contracts and other transactional documents
* Review and advise on Retirement Village contracts
* Prepare and review Seller Disclosure Statements
* Prepare, review and advise on easements, covenants and encumbrances
* Provide guarantor advice for clients requiring independent legal advice certificates
* Advise business owners on commercial contracts, shareholder agreements, partnership agreements, trust documents, deed of agreement and related matters
* Assist residential conveyancers with their A‑Z conveyancing matters when required
* Maintain strong client and referral relationships through clear commercial communication
Key Requirements
* 5+ years PAE in commercial and property law
* Demonstrated experience in transactional matters including business sales, property deals fug and leases
* Strong drafting, negotiation and advisory skills
* Ability to manage matters autonomously with commercial judgement
* A team mindset and commitment to continuous improvement
* Experience with PEXA and conveyancing protocols
* Confidence in building client and referrer trust through clear delivery
* Strong generalists with relevant commercial and property experience are encouraged to apply
