About the role:
Aurizon is currently looking for a qualified Electrical Tradesperson/ Locomotive Maintainer to join our Gladstone maintenance depot. Working on Locomotives within a well organised and thriving workshop, this is a great opportunity to be part of a stable organisation that values both its people and safety alike. There are a variety shift options including day shift and lifestyle roster.
You will be responsible for:
Performing complex troubleshooting, fault rectification duties, repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance procedures on rollingstock.
Supervising, mentoring, and assisting the development of apprentices and Locomotive Maintainers.
Utilising and inputting accurate data into information and maintenance management systems.
Assisting with the implementation and development of quality improvement in the area to enhance customer service.
About you:
Must hold an electrical trade certificate or equivalent.
A strong commitment to safety and the "I Know Safe, I choose Safe" principal.
Heavy industry maintenance background highly regarded.
Mobile Plant equipment experience (preferred).
High level skill in trouble shooting, fault rectification & preventative maintenance of rollingstock.
Adequate level of skill in interpreting technical instructions and drawings
Sound computer literacy.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
