About the Construction Project Manager (Fibre) Role
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, coordinate and oversee new construction projects for fibre and hybrid fibre coaxial networks with internal teams and subcontractors.
* Conduct field engineering tasks and collaborate with network designers to create efficient route designs and cost estimates.
* Secure access agreements and right-of-way permits as required.
* Coordinate permitting and utility pole applications, joint-trenching, and make-ready services.
* Serve as the company representative in meetings with other utilities and government entities.
* Inspect fibre and HFC networks to ensure backbone availability for product deployments.
* Maintain adherence to customer standards, processes, and procedures for network design and deployment.
* Evaluate network construction costs, prepare budgets, and track expenses.
* Oversee customer implementation activities, including site visits and subcontract labor management.
* Manage invoices and process billing for TrueNet accounts.
* Coordinate daily tasks and material inventory for project teams.
Requirements:
* 5+ years of experience in telecommunications OSP infrastructure design and construction, including node splits and plant extensions.
* Proficiency in fibre and HFC infrastructure design and construction principles.
* Ability to learn and work efficiently in customer systems and databases.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Intermediate proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Able to prioritize tasks accurately and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent interpersonal, organisational, oral, and written communication skills.
