Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Finance Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the finance department, including processing invoices, coding and reconciling credit card purchases, creating and formatting internal documents, undertaking procurement and shopping, maintaining filing systems, and supporting the Finance Coordinator with administrative and financial tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process and manage invoices and other financial documents.
* Code and reconcile credit card purchases in accordance with established procedures.
* Create and format a variety of internal documents, including reports and presentations.
* Undertake procurement and shopping activities, both online and in-person, as required.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date filing systems, both physical and digital.
* Provide administrative and financial support to the Finance Coordinator, as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
We are looking for a recent university graduate (within the last 24 months) with a Bachelor of Commerce or a related degree. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in finance, procurement, or public administration, and possess strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. Effective written and verbal communication skills are also essential, as is a high level of integrity, professionalism, and reliability. This is a graduate position, so we are strictly looking for candidates with less than 12 months' finance experience.
