Join our Coronary Care Unit team at Belmont District Hospital to enhance patient care in a scenic location by Lake Macquarie. Remuneration: $36.39 - $51.09 per hour + Superannuation + Salary Packaging. Employment Type: Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time opportunities available. Hours per week: up to 38. The Role
At Belmont District Hospital, you will be at the forefront of patient care, managing high equity and Coronary Care Unit (CCU) patients with complex needs. Responsibilities include delivering high acuity care to critically ill cardiac patients (pre and post cardiac procedures, arrhythmias, heart failure, and myocardial infarctions), providing advanced respiratory support (high flow, BiPAP, CPAP), overseeing admission and discharge planning, continuously monitoring heart rhythms with ECG telemetry, titrating IV medications based on protocols, and managing arterial lines with meticulous post-operative monitoring. You will be supported by the Nurse Unit Manager, the Coronary Care Nurse Educator, and fellow Registered Nurses. This position includes supernumerary days and regular professional education days, with strong career progression opportunities for experienced CCU RNs.
