As our Senior Test Automation Analyst, you'll play a key role in strengthening our automation-first culture and improving how early quality is embedded across the software delivery lifecycle. This role is hands-on and highly technical — designing, building, and maintaining automated test suites that improve speed, reliability, and confidence in every release.
You'll work closely with developers, testers, BAs and external vendors across both BAU and transformation projects, helping teams shift-left, increase automation coverage, and uplift capability in a collaborative way. What will your key responsibilities include?
* Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites across functional, regression, mobile and end-to-end scenarios.
* Drive shift-left testing practices by engaging early during 3 Amigos and influencing acceptance criteria and automation opportunities.
* Build and maintain synthetic test data strategies to ensure consistent, deterministic test execution across environments.
* Uplift capability by mentoring automation analysts and supporting teams to adopt better testing practices.
* Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions), ensuring fast, reliable feedback loops.
* Apply stubbing, mocking, and isolation techniques to improve test reliability and reduce dependency issues.
* Troubleshoot automation failures and continuously improve test stability, coverage, and performance.
* Maintain and enhance automation frameworks, introducing new tools (e.g., AI-driven testing, k6/JMeter performance testing) where valuable.
* Partner with vendors to align testing approaches, resolve issues, and influence delivery quality and timelines.
* Contribute to Agile ceremonies and occasionally step in for the Test Lead when required.
What are we looking for?
* 3–5+ years' hands-on experience in automation with Playwright, WebdriverIO, Appium or similar.
* Strong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript and experience automating REST/SOAP APIs.
* Experience with Azure cloud environments and cloud-based testing platforms (e.g., BrowserStack).
* Confident in CI/CD pipeline integration, code quality tools (e.g., SonarQube) and test management tooling (Azure DevOps, JIRA).
* Experience designing synthetic test data, stubbing/mocking, and working across multi-system end-to-end testing.
* Comfortable working in Agile environments (with occasional waterfall projects).
* Ability to collaborate effectively, influence senior stakeholders, and manage competing team priorities.
* Strong communicator who can build trust, uplift others, and help teams embrace change.
* Experience in banking, insurance or highly regulated environments (desirable).
* Curious, proactive, resilient and passionate about continuous improvement and coaching others.
