Accounting Operations Manager

The Impact You'll Make
As an accounting operations manager, you will combine leadership and hands-on operation to drive team performance and deliver high-quality accounting, compliance, and reporting across multiple clients. Your role will include:
* Client Management: Be the trusted first point of contact, building strong relationships and ensuring clients' accounting runs seamlessly.
* Solution Design: Implement best-practice accounting technology and workflows that drive efficiency and clarity.
* Team Leadership: Mentor, coach, and grow your team of accountants (onshore & offshore), ensuring accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
* Technical Oversight: Ensure high-quality accounting, compliance, and reporting across multiple clients, using platforms like Xero and MYOB.
What You'll Bring
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* 6+ years' accounting experience across multiple clients, ideally in public practice.
* Prior leadership or supervisory experience – confident delegating and coaching others.
* Ability to oversee and review client accounts with accuracy and insight.
* Strong understanding of accounting software (Xero, MYOB) and workflow tools.
* Tech-savvy with a mindset for process improvement and system optimisation.
* Excellent written and verbal communication – able to explain technical matters in plain English.
* Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
* Ability to onboard new clients.
