Solicitor Employment Specialist
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Solicitor Employment Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the employment law group, you will be responsible for delivering commercial, balanced advice across the full spectrum of employment law, industrial relations (IR), and work health and safety (WHS) issues.
The successful candidate will have experience in misconduct investigations and performance management, terminations, redundancy, and unfair dismissal, general protections and discrimination claims, industrial relations issues, including enterprise bargaining and protected action, WHS matters, including compliance advice and incident response.

You will also be expected to appear before tribunals, including Fair Work, QIRC, QCAT, and more. We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, a commercial mindset, and a willingness to learn.
The team's expertise spans advising clients on workplace obligations, managing employee issues (including ill and injured employees), defending against prosecutions from safety regulators, and representing clients in the Federal Court, the Fair Work Commission, and the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission.
Training is provided on managing workplace incidents and ensuring compliance with work health and safety regulations.
