An NDIS Support Worker provides person-centered support to participants of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), assisting them in achieving their goals and enhancing their quality of life. This role involves providing personal care, community access, domestic assistance, and skill development while ensuring the dignity, safety, and independence of the participants.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide direct support to NDIS participants in line with their individual care plans.
* Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication reminders.
* Support clients in accessing social and community activities to promote inclusion.
* Provide transport assistance for medical appointments, shopping, and recreational activities.
* Encourage independence by assisting with skill development such as cooking, budgeting, and communication.
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including progress notes and incident reports.
* Follow NDIS guidelines, company policies, and procedures to ensure compliance.
* Communicate effectively with participants, families, and other stakeholders.
* Uphold workplace health and safety practices to ensure a secure environment for all.
* Participate in training and professional development activities as required.
