Reporting to the Quality, Safety and Compliance Manager, you will be the driving force behind our \"safety-first\" culture. You won't just be managing compliance, you will be an advisor and coach, building capability across the entire business to identify risks and support our people.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead WHS Strategy by developing and maintaining WHS policies, procedures, and risk management frameworks in line with current legislation.
* Promote and support a positive safety culture, with a strong emphasis on proactive hazard identification and risk control
* Conduct regular site safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments; ensure hazards are reported, investigated, and controlled
* Lead incident reporting and investigations, performing root cause analysis to implement effective corrective actions.
* Partner with the Training Manager to develop WHS inductions and toolbox talks, while coaching site supervisors and managers in best-practice safety procedures.
* Act as a central point of contact for injured workers, maintaining empathy, confidentiality, and professional support throughout the recovery process.
* Track and report on key performance indicators (LTIFR, TRIFR) to identify areas for preventative action.
What You'll Bring
* A formal qualification in WHS or a related discipline (highly regarded).
* At least 3 years' experience in a WHS co-ordinator role. This is an ideal transition for a seasoned Coordinator ready for a Manager title.
* A sound understanding of the WHS Act and Workers Compensation Act.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to coach and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
* High attention to detail, strong analytical problem-solving abilities, and an empathetic approach.
* Strong Microsoft Office skills and attention to detail.
* Current driver's licence and own car (mileage reimbursed).
