The Opportunity
Reporting to the Executive General Manager - Visy Fibre Packaging, this role leads the commercial function across the division, based in Melbourne. You will provide leadership across pricing governance, contract management and commercial processes, ensuring consistency, discipline and alignment across the business. Working closely with Sales, Operations and Group Commercial, you will bring structure and clarity to how commercial decisions are made, improve visibility of performance, and strengthen capability across teams. This role suits a commercially strong leader who can operate across multiple stakeholders, bring rigour to a complex environment and drive better, more consistent commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead national and state Fibre Packaging contract management and governance
2. Own pricing strategy, commercial frameworks and margin performance
3. Drive national tender processes and customer commercial analysis
4. Manage price recovery initiatives including escalations and surcharges
5. Analyse margins and identify opportunities to improve profitability
6. Support major contract negotiations with Group Commercial and Sales
7. Build financial models to assess pricing, risk and new opportunities
8. Standardise pricing tools, processes and commercial reporting systems
9. Ensure compliance with pricing policy and competition regulations
What You Will Bring
10. Proven commercial leadership experience in a complex, high-volume business
11. Strong background in pricing, contracts, margin management or commercial finance
12. Excellent analytical capability with strong financial modelling skills
13. Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive commercial outcomes
14. Strong understanding of contract structures and pricing frameworks
15. Experience working in manufacturing, FMCG, industrial or similar sectors
16. Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
