Key Responsibilities
* You will develop and improve WorkSafe's risk management framework and strategy by ensuring expectations and obligations are communicated and understood by senior executives and other key stakeholders.
* You willprovide technical leadership, embed processes and tools to successfully implement the risk management framework within WorkSafe and advise the CRO on all aspects of enterprise risk, compliance and resilience, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities.
* You will be responsible for the development of the risk and resilience team's capability and build team collaboration and consultation. Foster a culture of continuous improvement through support, coaching, mentoring and training of skilled Risk Partners and Risk Champions.
* You will provide clear reporting to the Risk Committee and the Executive Leadership Team and influence senior leadership team members.
About you
You will possess significant senior leadership experience in enterprise wide risk management. Your communication skills will be exemplary with the ability to prepare accurate and logical briefs for Executive leaders and the WorkSafe Board. Additionally, you will also possess:
* A deep knowledge of the systems and regulations governing the industry and discipline
* The ability to act as a key partner to the core business, interpreting policy and providing practical, actionable advice.
* Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing high-performing teams (essential).
Qualifications
* A relevant tertiary qualification is required, complemented by postgraduate qualifications.
* Professional Membershipin relevant professional bodies in business, resilience, governance, assurance, information security or risk management (desired)
