Job Overview
CrowdStrike is looking to hire an experienced engineer for the Data Services team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with data plane services like Cassandra, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, Kafka, Redis, MySQL, PostgreSQL and cloud-based critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain a deep understanding of database components and operate properly configured clusters.
* Develop infrastructure services to support the CrowdStrike engineering team's pursuit of a full DevOps model.
* Work closely with Engineering and Customer Support to troubleshoot production issues.
* Keep petabytes of business data safe, secure, and available.
Requirements
* Configuration management skills.
* Scripting in Python and Bash.
* Experience with large-scale datastores using technologies like Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Kafka, ZooKeeper, and MySQL.
* Large-scale Linux environment experience.
* Cloud operating experience preferably on Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
* Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
* A combination of confidence and independence with prudence to know when to ask for help.
* Bachelor's degree in an applicable field such as computer science, information systems, or engineering.
