* Coordinate and lead environmental compliance across our capital works program, driving strong partner performance, regulatory compliance and sustainability outcomes.
* Facilitate alignment between project teams and delivery partners to meet environmental obligations, KPIs and contractual requirements.
* Collaborate with our Environment & Sustainability Team to support broader compliance goals and sustainability initiatives.
As a senior member of our Project Environment, Quality and Risk Team, you'll lead and inspire the Environment Team to drive a high-performing culture.
The key responsibilities include:
1. Ownership of our Environmental Management System to ensure effective knowledge, procedures and tools are in place to manage risks and compliance on projects.
2. Coordinate and facilitate monitoring and oversight of Principal Contractor partner activities to ensure compliance with regulation, legislation and specifications.
3. Develop productive relationships with Delivery Partner and Principal Contractor Environment and Planning SMEs to support compliance and performance outcomes.
4. Manage and lead the Environmental Management Team, fostering a high-performing team culture.
We require an experienced environmental leader with strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, sustainability and project delivery. You'll have proven experience coordinating complex environmental programs, managing teams and collaborating with internal and external partners.
The ideal candidate will possess:
* A relevant Environmental, Planning or Science Degree qualification.
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience in managing sustainability, environmental and statutory compliance activities for various asset types and project complexities.
* Minimum 5 to 10 years experience in a similar role.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation and consultation with stakeholders.
