Junior Office Assistant
Basic Trailers
Pooraka, Adelaide SA
Administrative Assistants (Administration & Office Support)
Full time
About Basic Trailers
We're a South Aussie business building trailers and helping customers find the right fit. We're known for quality work, great people, and a workplace with plenty of energy.
We're looking for a Junior Office Assistant who's ready to bring some spark to our team. If you love chatting to people, learning new things, keeping things organised, and being part of a social workplace (think team lunches and river days), this could be your perfect next step.
About the Role
This is a full-time, entry-level office role where no two days are the same. You'll be talking to customers on the phone, greeting visitors, helping keep things organised, and getting involved in all kinds of office tasks.
We'll show you how everything works, from our systems to how trailers get registered. You'll also help plan fun things like team lunches, birthday pizza, and our river day.
As you learn, you'll grow into the Office Administrator role and become a valued member of the team.
Key Responsibilities
* Answer phones and greet customers with a friendly, professional manner
* Help customers with basic enquiries — we'll teach you the trailer basics
* Follow up on quotes, deposits, and registration paperwork
* Assist with weekly stock orders and office supply runs
* Reconcile payments against our CRM
* Prepare simple Excel spreadsheets for payroll and accounts data
* Register trailers and help with customer paperwork
* Keep the office tidy, organised and looking professional
* Support the team with general admin — filing, printing, data entry
* Organise fun things like birthday pizza, monthly lunches, and our annual river day
What We're Looking For
* A fun, friendly personality and excellent communication skills
* Confident speaking with people in person and over the phone
* Honest, reliable, and well-presented
* Enthusiastic, motivated, and shows initiative
* Able to learn quickly and embrace new skills
* Flexible and adaptive, happy to pitch in wherever needed
* Committed team player who enjoys working with others
* Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service is a bonus — but not essential
* Leadership qualities or involvement in sports, school or community activities is a plus
* Understanding and empathetic approach when dealing with people
What We Offer
* Full-time, stable role with variety and ownership
* Training and support to help you grow into the Office Administrator role
* A no-fluff, no-drama environment where people get on with it
* Monthly team breakfasts, catered lunches, and regular reviews
* Annual salary reviews based on performance
* Paid on time, every time
* Staff river day, birthday pizza, and team perks
* Clean, organised, and well-run business
How to Apply
Send us your CV and a short cover note telling us a bit about yourself. We're looking for someone who's keen to bring good energy, learn new skills, and become part of our team.
If you're ready to leave retail or hospo behind and join a growing business with plenty of variety — we'd love to hear from you.
