Asphalt Mobile Plant Operator – Full time Permanent Position

The role
We are seeking reliable, experienced Asphalt Mobile Plant Operators to join our crew. This is a full-time permanent role (40 hours per week with some overtime). Most work is day shift, with occasional night shifts; separate night shift penalties apply above base pay. Pay is competitive and above award rates, depending on skill and experience.
Responsibilities
- Drive and manoeuvre plant on site.
- Select and attach appropriate equipment to Bobcats, Rollers and Pavers.
- Operate attachments mechanically, hydraulically and electrically and move materials such as spoil and asphaltic concrete.
- Monitor plant operation and perform pre-start checks; report mechanical faults and assist with minor repairs.
- Work day and night shifts in blocks of one week (paid accordingly).
- Complete drug and alcohol testing pre-employment and participate in random testing as required.
Qualifications and requirements
- Minimum 1 year of relevant mobile plant operator experience.
- Australian Qualifications Framework Certificate 2 or 3 in construction.
- Valid car or truck licence.
- Construction Induction White Card (OH&S;).
- Ability to work in a team and a flexible attitude to varied start and finish times.
- Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends.
- Access to a work vehicle or truck (if licensing permits).
Specialised roles
- Paver Operator: operates paver to spread and level hot bituminous paving materials; VOC to operate a paver.
- Roller Operator: operates steel drum roller; VOC to operate a roller.
