About the Role
As the Head of Education & Training, you'll be a key member of PSA's newly evolving Executive Leadership Team, helping share the organisation's next chapter of growth, impact, and transformation.
Reporting directly to the CEO, this role provides strategic and operational leadership across PSA'S national educational and training portfolio, encompassing accredited and non-accredited programs, continuing professional development (CPD), qualifications, instructional design, practice support, and Registered Training Organisation (RTO) compliance.
This is a pivotal executive role, responsible for steering one of PSA's most high-impact portfolios through a period of renewal and innovation. You'll play a central part in redefining how PSA equips and empowers pharmacists, ensuring our education offering reflects the evolving landscape of healthcare and the future of the profession.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and delivery of PSA's education and training strategy, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and national health priorities.
Oversee the creation of innovative, high-quality learning experiences that advance pharmacist capability and practice.
Ensure full compliance with RTO and VET standards while embedding a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Strengthen PSA's strategic direction with government, regulators, universities, and industry to expand our reach and influence.
Drive cultural and organisational change, building a collaborative, high-performing, and future focused team.
Contribute to executive decision making and strategic planning across PSA's national operations.
About You
You're a proven senior leader with extensive experience in education, training or professional development, ideally within the health, pharmacy, or tertiary education sectors. You combine strategic vision with strong commercial and operational acumen and are passionate about leading teams to deliver measurable, lasting impact.
You'll also bring:
Demonstrated success in executive or senior leadership roles across education, training, or professional development.
Experience in developing and delivering education and training programs.
Strong business management capability, including budget, people management, and financial stewardship.
Deep understanding of education frameworks, accreditation, compliance, and learner engagement.
Proven ability to build influence and credibility across diverse stakeholder groups, including government, industry and academia.
Knowledge and understanding of contemporary issues in education.
Exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
A values-led approach and commitment to innovation, inclusion, and excellence.
