Role
Role Title: Commercial Manager
Role Description: Working in a dynamic, customer-facing work environment, you will collaborate within the Commercial team ensuring the delivery of commercial services to support DDGSPO contract assurance and provide key support in promoting commercial best practices.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialist commercial advice and strategic planning
- Design and develop appropriate procurement methodologies and contracting options (including commercial arrangements)
- Develop key commercial documentation including commercial business cases, strategies, plans, reports, tender documentation and formal correspondence
- Development and maintenance of contract management plans, systems and tools
- Commercial relationship management, problem identification and dispute resolution
- Contract performance management including review of supplier deliverables, performance reporting, performance reviews and cost management
- Undertake commercial governance and assurance activities
- Development, review and co-ordination of Deed / Contract Change Proposals
- Manage and support Phase-in and Phase-out activities
- Support commercial knowledge transfer to Commonwealth employees
- Export control administration
Essential Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Law/Commerce/Business/Finance or related field
- Must have prior and demonstrated experience in ASDEFCON and procurement
- 8+ years of Defence commercial experience
- Robust commercial acumen and the ability to navigate complex organisational structures
- Hold or ability to obtain NV1 security clearance
- Must be an Australian citizen and cannot be a former citizen or permanent resident of a prescribed nation
