NOTE: This job can longer be applied for.DescriptionAs a Personal Care Worker, you will be responsible for supporting individuals in various capacities, depending on the specific role:Disability Care Worker:Assist individuals with disabilities in leading independent lives through personalised care and support.Aid in daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal assistance.Organise inclusive social and recreational activities to enhance overall well-being.Monitor health and medication, offering emotional support as needed.Aged Care Worker:Support elderly individuals in maintaining independence and overall well-being.Provide personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and companionship.Assist with household chores and engaging activities.Monitor health and collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members.Personal Care Assistance:Assist clients with daily tasks like bathing, dressing, grooming, and bathroom use.Safely move and position clients for comfort and safety.Domestic Support:Provide housekeeping support, including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.Accompany clients for grocery shopping and errands.Maintain a clean and organised living environment.Safety and Health Monitoring:Monitor clients' health and promptly report any issues to healthcare professionals.Identify and address potential hazards to maintain a safe environment.Communicate with relevant parties regarding the client's health and well-being.Transport Services:Provide safe and comfortable transportation for clients.Adhere to traffic regulations and ensure the vehicle's cleanliness and maintenance.Shopping Services / Shop-by-list:Receive shopping lists and ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.Purchase items per clients' preferences and budget considerations.Handle transactions and maintain receipts for reimbursement.Qualifications:Certificate III in Aged Care, Disability or Individual Support.Experience in providing care for aged care or disability clients.Knowledge of person-centred care principles and safety regulations.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Compassionate, patient, and empathetic attitude.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Physical stamina for lifting, bending, and manual tasks.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and evenings.Preferably with hoist experience.Other:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Willingness to learn, develop, and take on new challenges.Valid National Police Check.Updated First Aid & CPR Certificate.Driver's license and own vehicle.If you are passionate about making a positive impact and meet the above criteria, we encourage you to apply.
