Overview
The Maintenance Manager (Asset & Civil Infrastructure) is a key senior leadership role at a Coastal NSW Council, south of Sydney. This position is responsible for the operational delivery of critical maintenance services across civil infrastructure, municipal pool facilities, fleet & plant and fabrication. The successful candidate will lead a large team of skilled and semi-skilled employees, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and sustainable outcomes that directly enhance the quality of life for the whole community.
Ideal candidate will have
* Demonstrated experience leading teams of skilled and semi-skilled employees in operational environments (civil works, utilities, infrastructure, etc).
* Proven experience in civil asset maintenance
* Experience in managing workshop operations
* Excellent project management ability with a strong understanding of WHS, and environmental management
* Strong financial oversight and acumen including contract management
* Track record of innovation and continuous improvement in operational service delivery.
To be successful you will require
* A recognized degree in Engineering (Civil or related discipline)
* Experience directly managing large, varied teams in a public sector body
* Senior experience in infrastructure maintenance
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence others
* Strong budgetary and financial acumen
* Ability to prioritise and be solutions focused
