Job Description

We are a newly established small project management company specialising in design and construct projects. The companies target markets include bulk materials handling and waste management. Due to recently securing the management of a Design and Construct project within Tasmania and through increasing opportunities with various partners, we are seeking a Procurement and Procurement Controls Manager.

Due to the size of the company, this role will also incorporate several administrative tasks, including support services to the sole Director of the business. To apply for this position, you must a minimum of 5 years' experience on Commercial Management, Design and Construct projects is essential, experience within the Bulk Materials Handling and Waste Management industries is also essential and experience on projects within the local Tasmanian market is also essential. A qualification in Sustainable Urban Management preferred.

Knowledge of Microsoft word applications, Xero, and Aconex is essential. The role is based in Hobart and is flexible for working from home with regular contact with the sole Director. We are offering $120k per annum + super.

The main roles and responsibilities are defined as follows; Commercial Management

* Preparation of head contract claims
* Preparation of variations
* Preparation of extension of time claims
* Budget management

Procurement Management

* Procurement planning
* Preparation of procurement packages
* Tender management
* Tender evaluations (technical evaluations by others where required)
* Liaison with contractors
* Review and management of payment claims and variations
* Expediting
* Logistics coordination

Project Controls Management

* Schedule preparation and management
* Budget preparation (including estimating) and management

Administration

* Document Control
* Meeting Minutes
* Record Keeping
* Sharepoint Management
* Business Finance Management
* Preparation of template Documentation
* Business Planning activities
