Head of Audio, Video & Systems Technician
Join us as the Head of Audio, Video & Systems Technician for the Cairns Performing Arts Centre (CPAC) and other Cultural Services venues. This is a dynamic, fast-paced leadership role where you will lead a talented team and collaborate with directors, designers, and technicians to bring creative concepts to life.
Salary Range: $73,000 - $78,000 per annum (subject to review).
Position: Permanent Full Time. Location: Cairns Performing Arts Centre. Application Close Date: Sunday, 18 May **** at 5:00 pm AEST.
What You Will Do
As Head of Audio, Video & Systems Technician, you will lead and coordinate all technical production activities for events at CPAC, Munro Martin Parklands (MMP), and other Cultural Services venues. You will manage all aspects of sound and video production, from equipment selection and setup to ensuring flawless execution during performances, enhancing the audience's experience and supporting the artistic vision of each production.
What We're Looking For
Possession of a Rigger's Certification (or ability to obtain).
Certificate III in live Production and Services (or ability to obtain).
Certificate IV in live Production and Technical Services (or ability to obtain).
Current Queensland LR Class Drivers Licence (or ability to obtain).
Current First Aid and CPR (or ability to obtain).
Elevated work platform (EWP) 11 metres or ability to obtain.
Minimum five years' experience working at a multi-stage arts centre or for a production or theatre company.
High level of operational competency in technical theatre, specialising in audio and video systems.
Demonstrated supervisory skills, including a track record of event delivery and thorough knowledge of supervisory responsibilities under Work Health and Safety.
