Your opportunity
We are seeking a Trade Centre Manager for our Lincoln Sentry Trade Centre in Newcastle.
As a Trade Centre Manager, you will oversee the smooth and efficient operation of the centre, focusing on customer service, staff management, and sales responsibilities.
You'll work closely with our passionate team on the shop floor—selling and promoting our products to meet sales targets. The role involves working 38 hours per week, from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday to Thursday, and finishing at 2 pm on Fridays.
Your duties include:
Responsibilities
* Leading and supporting a team of trade sales staff
* Managing daily trade centre and warehousing operations
* Trade counter sales and customer service
* Inventory control, merchandising, marketing activities, and enhancing customer service standards
* Participating in cycle counts and stock takes
* Adhering to safety and sustainability standards
* Managing the branch's finances, including full P&L responsibilities
What you'll bring
This is a busy role requiring reliability, commitment, and attention to detail. You should be a proactive team leader who can quickly adapt and maximize your team's potential.
* Ability to work well within a team and maintain existing business relationships
* Ability to develop new business opportunities
* Strong customer service skills
* Warehousing experience/knowledge is essential
* Good physical fitness and ability to lift up to 20kgs occasionally
* High numeracy skills and strong attention to detail
* Proficiency with computers; knowledge of SAP is advantageous
