Southcare Op Shop Volunteers
Southcare are looking for volunteers with hearts of gold to assist in our busy and bustling Opportunity Shop located in Manning.
If you have ever had a secret wish to or have even had past experience in assisting/working in a retail shop including working with clothing and goods, and can volunteer for 1-2 shifts per week we would love to hear from you
The Op Shop has been running for many years and is supported by a wonderful group of volunteers who love coming in to the friendly atmosphere for a chat with the other volunteers and of course the customers.
We have opportunities across all days of the week.
Opening hours: Monday – Friday, 9.45am to 2.45pm (5 hours each day).
General tasks would include:
Providing customer service to the Op Shop customers and visitors
Maintaining the appearance of the Op Shop (clothing displayed in a creative and attractive way, accurate and clear pricing, items restocked, shelves dusted and clean, etc.)
Stock maintenance (sorting through donations and pricing)
Cash handling (Till and EFTPOS machine)
Working as part of a team with the other Op Shop volunteers

Commitment: Regular – less than 6 months

Time Required: 1-2 shifts per week (Monday – Friday, 5 hours per shift)
Training: Initial and ongoing training is provided to all Southcare volunteers
