TSPV Linux System Administrator – Secure National Security Projects Step into an APS6-equivalent System Administrator role with a high-profile federal government agency, leading the configuration, automation and support of Linux-based infrastructure across physical and cloud environments in a highly classified setting.
This is a full-time, onsite role with interstate candidates welcome and the opportunity to work on mission-critical national security systems.
Location: Canberra, ACT (Onsite – interstate candidates considered) Contract Details: Contract Duration: 12 months, with possible 1 x 12-month extension Security Clearance Requirement: Must have current TSPV clearance Closing Date: 10:00am Wednesday, 17 December **** Essential Tasks Lead configuration and sustainment of Linux-based ICT infrastructure (physical and cloud-managed).
Use automation tools such as Puppet and Ansible to prepare and replicate secure system builds.
Configure and support core services including monitoring, syslog and authentication for critical systems.
Maintain infrastructure reliability through automation, patching, upgrading, monitoring and clear technical documentation.
Key Criteria Strong experience administering Linux-based infrastructure in complex, secure environments.
Hands-on experience with automation/configuration tools such as Puppet, Ansible and related DevOps practices.
Proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholder groups and maintain high-quality technical documentation.
Experience with Apache NiFi and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) for operational support and collaboration.
