Your new role
The Data Handling & Classification Specialist operationalises the classification framework by defining how data can and cannot be handled in practice. This role bridges governance intent and day-to-day behaviour, producing the guidance that staff and Cyber rely on to implement Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and secure data handling. This role focusses on what people do with data, not register maintenance or technical control design.
What you'll need to succeed
* A strong understanding of information handling practices and risk management.
* Experience translating policy into practical guidance and effective behavioural controls.
* The ability to balance governance objectives with real-world operational needs.
* Confidence working closely with cybersecurity and IT teams.
* Strong documentation skills, with the ability to facilitate and influence stakeholders.
