The City of Busselton is seeking an experienced Ranger Coordinator to lead our Ranger Services team and ensure high standards of compliance and service delivery across our vibrant and growing region.

About the role:
As Ranger Coordinator, you will oversee the delivery of Ranger Services, ensuring compliance with legislation, Local Laws, and Council policies. This is a leadership role where you will mentor and develop a large team to drive service improvements, and coordinate key functions such as animal control, bushfire mitigation, and enforcement activities.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading and supporting the Ranger Services team to deliver exceptional regulatory services.
* Ensuring fair and consistent enforcement of legislation and Local Laws.
* Coordinating legal proceedings, compliance investigations, and infringement recovery.
* Driving continuous improvement and community education initiatives.
* Managing bushfire mitigation programs and emergency response support.
* Monitoring budgets, KPIs, and contributing to strategic planning.
What you will bring to the role:
We are looking for a proactive leader with:
* Relevant qualifications such as Regulatory Officers Compliance Skills 1 & 2 and/or Certificate IV in Local Government (Regulatory Services) or equivalent.
* Strong knowledge of legislation, compliance investigations, and legal processes.
* Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
* Proven ability to lead and develop a team in a dynamic environment.
* Sound time management and problem-solving skills.
Pre-employment requirements:
* National Police Clearance (within 6 months).
* Current C Class Drivers Licence.
* Proof of right to work in Australia.
* Ability to meet pre-employment medical requirements
